About Celia
The Celia Fund is named for Celia Hudnall Ing — a lifelong public educator, avid gardener, and a second mother to our founder Sara Hudnall. The name Celia means 'from Heaven,' making it the perfect name for this mission.
Sara is also a former public educator whose heart remains with the teachers who persist in work that undervalues them — professionally and economically.
The Celia Fund exists to fill a gap — providing direct financial support to the educators who need it most.

Public educators pour their hearts into their students every single day, often stretching their own finances to do it. Yet when a personal financial crisis hits, there is almost nowhere for them to turn for direct, immediate help.
We are here to change that. The Celia Fund provides low-interest emergency loans directly to public school educators cutting through red tape and getting support to the people who need it most, quickly and with dignity.
